- Active are recognised for creating inspiring spaces that best serve the people using them. With rising industry and client requirements, Active have shaped their long-term ambitions into a sustainability strategy that will enable them to make more of a positive impact than ever before.
- Aligned to best practice, we led internal and external stakeholder engagement to define Active’s three areas of focus through a double materiality assessment. Bringing departments across the business together, we led upskilling sessions and idea generation workshops to bring solutions together to tackle challenges and identify areas of opportunity.
- We also calculated Active’s first carbon footprint to bring clarity to where their biggest impacts lie and shape ongoing actions to deliver low impact solutions. Since then we have supported in year 3 carbon data collection and measurement to continually increase accuracy of data reporting.
- Two apprentices completed their courses and appointed into permanent roles
- Active is finalising its own carbon calculator
- Developing extensive supplier programme, with 87% of all previous suppliers joining
- Dedicated resource for sustainability in-house
We looked at a number of potential partners before selecting JustOne to help us embed sustainability across our business. Their approach was hands on, taking the time to get to know the business and helping us create a sustainable strategy with achievable goals, objectives and improvements. As a result, we are now measuring our emissions and helping our supply chain do the same, together we are taking steps in reducing our environmental impact year on year. JustOne gave us the direction and tools to make a difference, and remain just a phone call away should we need them.
